WPPN Property Marking Scheme – Expression of Interest
Closing date 29th October 2021 @ 5pm

In County Westmeath, theft, particularly of equipment and machinery, from community groups, clubs and individual has been one of the commonest offences reported to the Gardai. However even when Gardai find stolen property they often cannot return it to owners as they cannot identify the owners.

In order to support its over 800-member groups, WPPN purchased a Property Marking Machine which it plans to loan (with loan agreements) for a specific period of time, to trained volunteers from interested WPPN member groups to mark and protect equipment and property in local communities.

WPPN will train volunteers from WPPN member groups from all around the county of Westmeath – These trained volunteers will then use the Property Marking System to engrave/mark equipment (sports equipment, power tools, machinery etc. for groups, clubs and individuals in their area.

Please note:

  • A minimum of Two volunteers will be trained from each participating WPPN member Group
  • As property being marked can be of any size (e.g. agricultural equipment) – Therefore WPPN member groups interested in participating will need to have facilities/access for vehicles/trailers etc.
  • As the Property Marking Machine will be moved around the County – Expressions of Interest (EOI) are welcome from WPPN member groups all around Westmeath.

In order to start the process, we are asking interested WPPN member groups to complete this Expression of Interest form.
