Dragonfly Ireland Survey 2019 - 2024
The National Biodiversity Data Centre is running a countrywide survey for Dragonflies and Damselflies in 2022. This is a Citizen Science project funded by the Environmental Protection Agency and is a great way for the Public to get involved in biodiversity data collection in their local area while contributing to a nationwide project that will update our knowledge of Irish Dragonfly and Damselfly distribution, while looking at these species as indicators of Climate Change and Water Quality.

I attach a flyer for the survey which I would be most grateful if you could share on your PPN, I also attach a link to our online Identification poster for Irish Dragonflies and Damselflies, which is a great educational resource for all.

Finally, we are also running training workshops for the public in Dragonfly and Damselfly identification and survey techniques this spring and summer which may be of interest to your PPN. Full details of workshops and how to book are available on https://biodiversityireland.ie/workshops/

If you have any question or queries, please contact me at the email below.
