Africa Day, the annual celebration of the continent’s cultures and people, falls on 25th May each year. Irish Aid at the Department of Foreign Affairs partners is partnering with Westmeath County Council to organise events aimed at marking this special and unique day.
Last year groups across Westmeath hosted a number of Africa Day events – and we hope that Africa Day 2023 will be even bigger!
We are once again pleased to provide financial support to organise events for Africa Day, aimed at celebrating African cultures and the links between Ireland and Africa.
If you wish to organise an Africa Day event or series of events with support from Irish Aid & Westmeath County Council, please fill in the attached application form and return by 5pm on Tuesday 14th February.
