European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 – Get involved


Today Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Josepha Madigan officially launched the programme of events for the year.
The Heritage Council is inviting heritage groups, local authorities and cultural institutions to get involved in European Year of Cultural Heritage in order to deepen the connection between people and heritage. 


How To Register Your Event
If you have an event in mind you can register it by applying for the European Year of Cultural Heritage label.  The Heritage Council are allowing those who register their events to use the European Year of Cultural Heritage label/logo.

To mark the European Year of Cultural Heritage in 2018, the Heritage Council is focusing its Community Heritage Grant Scheme on the theme, ‘Make a Connection’, to encourage communities throughout Ireland to build heritage connections. 

Deadline for applications is Fri 9th  February 2018 at 5 pm.
