Public Consultation on a new Public Library Strategy
A public consultation on a new public library strategy has just been launched by the Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys T.D.
This is an ambitious plan to develop public library services over the next five years. We want to understand people’s attitudes towards the public library service and also get their feedback on how services can be improved in terms of access, use and visibility of the public library.
The consultation will assist in the development of a new Public Library Strategy which will be published next year.
Have your say on the new strategy by filling out the survey at Libraries Ireland Survey - Public Library Strategy Closing date is 9 July 2022.
If you wish to submit a hard copy response, please request a printed version at your local library or contact the Libraries Development Unit in the Local Government Management Agency at LibrariesDevelopment@lgma.ie or by phone at 01 6332211.
