Heritage Week 13th – 21st August 2022 is well underway. There’s lots on from film screenings to childrens’ workshops to nature walks and history talks …and everything in between. What’s more most events are Free! Copies of the Printed Guide to Heritage Week Events in Westmeath are available from your local Library. Or you can view the online event guide heritageweek.ie. You can like the my events trail feature, which you can use to highlight events happening in your location. Click the heart to mark the events you wish to add to your trail. Ian Kenneally has taken up post as Westmeath County Council Decade of Centenaries Historian in Residence. Ian’s residency runs from August to November.
