Dear Annette,

The National Rural Network invites you to attend our EIP-AGRI National Conference 2022 in Athlone on Monday, 28th November (9.30am - 4pm). Note the venue has changed to the Athlone Springs Hotel, Co. Westmeath.

The conference will be opened by Minister of State, Senator Pippa Hackett. Successful EIP-AGRI projects will highlight innovative practices and participating farmers will share their experiences on the ground. There will be a key focus on the next EIP-AGRI Programme under Ireland’s CAP Strategic Plan (CSP) for the period 2023-2027 and you will have the opportunity to share you ideas for inspiring the future of EIP-AGRI.

Conference Agenda

9.00 – 9.30: Registration

9.30 – 9.45:  Welcome – Dr Maura Farrell, University of Galway and the National Rural Network

9.45 – 10.00: Opening Address - Senator Pippa Hackett, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM)

10.00 – 11.00: Session 1, EIP-AGRI – Innovative Practices and Impact – 6 EIP-AGRI Operational Groups will present an overview of their projects followed by a panel discussion.

11.00 – 11.20: Coffee/Tea Break – To include an EIP-AGRI Operational Group Exhibition

11.20 - 12.00: Session 2, EIP-AGRI – Experiences ‘On the Ground’ – Farmers and Project Managers from 6 EIP-AGRI Operational Groups will share their experiences.

12.00 - 12.30: EIP-AGRI Moving Forward – Update from a representative from the DAFM on where EIP-AGRI sits within Ireland’s CAP Strategic Plan (CSP) for the period 2023-2027.

12.30 – 13.15: Lunch – to include an EIP-AGRI Operational Group Exhibition

13.15 – 14.15: Session 3, Breakout Groups - Inspiring the Future Direction/Focus of EIP-AGRI

14.15 – 14.45: Breakout Group Feedback

14.45 – 15.00: Concluding Remarks - Donal Sheehan, BRIDE Project

15.00 – 16.00: Networking Opportunity

You can also look forward to an EIP-AGRI Operational Group Project exhibition at this event. Lunch and light refreshments will be served.

Attendance for this conference is free - registration is still required, however.
