Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2023 now OPEN! The Heritage Council invites applications  from Communities and heritage non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for funding to support capital projects that apply good heritage practice to the management of places, collections or objects (including buildings); funding also available for surveys, heritage audits, biodiversity action plans, projects that improve access and inclusion to heritage sites (including digital access); The scheme also supports the purchase of essential equipment. https://www.heritagecouncil.ie/funding/community-heritage-grant-scheme-2023 Deadline for applications Mon 20th Feb 2023 at 5pm.

Community Wetlands Forum will kick off a new monthly series of ‘wetland webinars’. These one hour webinars will provide a platform for members and other stakeholders to share their perspectives on community led wetland conservation. These will be informal events, which will allow plenty of time for discussion and Q and A.

World Wetland’s Day, Thurs 2nd  Feb at 7:30pm  first event will hear from Gearóid O’Foighill of Cloughjordan Community Development Association on involvement in the successful community supported conservation efforts at Scohaboy Bog.
