DESCRIPTION:Westmeath Public Participation Network and Westmeath County Council are hosting Grant Information Evenings and Walk in Clinics in late January and early February\, both in Athlone and Mullingar. \nThis is a chance for all members of the public/community groups to gather information and ask any questions they may have on public grants available for 2026. \nThese are free events and open to all the public. Refreshments will be provided at all events. In order for us to calculate our catering requirements we ask that attendees register for the two Grant Information Evenings. DESCRIPTION:Following on from last year's successful event\, WPPN and Healthy Westmeath are again hosting a FREE 'Grow Your Own' horticulture workshop with organic horticulturist\, Colman Power. \nDuring this half day workshop attendees will gain an understanding of how to successfully grow organic fitness foods\, from purple sprouting broccoli\, to beetroot\, to rocket leaves. Included in this are organic seeds\, organic compost\, sowing trays\, tools and transplants for demonstration. All delivered by the vibrant and lively Wexfordman\, Colman Power\, who's enthusiasm and energy is infectious! \nDate and Time : 11.30am - 3pm.
